Paramount HS: Won the San Gabriel Valley League singles championship as a senior and was voted his team’s Most Valuable Player… Posted a 69-3 record on the year after going 48-11 as a junior… Came in second place in the league championship in singles play his junior year… Voted the team’s Most Improved Player as a sophomore and freshman… Was a member of the tennis, soccer, basketball, football and track and field teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was his match against the top player against Mayfair High… Would like to transfer to UCLA… His dad was a four-sport athlete in high school… Hobbies include music and writing… Has three siblings – Mayra (21), Paulo (20) and Danny (7)… Is the son of Ruben Avila… Born in Downey, CA on November 29, 1993…..
